Determination, perseverance and optimism define the fate of a person. Ceaseless efforts and commitment crowns a person with success and similar is my case.Having recollected my life experiences, I concluded that the best quality that lies within me is " Persistent efforts to ace in every situation and challenge I face," and following experience itself speaks volume of my quality.
I was in the final match of table tennis against ambidextrous opponent winning throughout the tournament in parallel with me. He was the last hurdle in my way to overcome in order to embrace coup and be announced as the best player of the tournament. The match began with thrilling shots and he knocked me out in no time like one sided match. I found myself helpless before him as he seemed adept in it.
Following match, I tried to deliver my best but my true-blue efforts seemed nothing and he kept on gaining points. He came within an ace of winning as he just required 4 points to win whereas I needed 9 points. At that moment, I deliberately stepped back and words of my coach reverberated in my mind," You are only beaten when you decide." Having killed the embryo of the fear of versatility of opponent, I came back with a fresh vigor and bucked up for myself. I enclasped consecutively 10 points and tied the series of 3 matches.
The final match was no less than an ordeal as it was like do or die match for me. However, he was overwhelmed by my comeback. Taking the advantage of his weakness, I didn't lose my temper and continued my winning play. Finally, I knocked him out and my ceaseless and persistent efforts hailed a triumph.
Apart from playing, the match proved itself a platform where I felt lifetime emotions. It taught me a lesson that one can suffer and die but being able to rise again to fight back will lead one to victory whereas, fickle efforts would harvest nothing but defeat. Last, the most important, ambitions could only be achieved by continuity in efforts.
